A little bit about my journey into hypnobirthing

In March 2020 I found myself in lockdown, 33 weeks pregnant, sent home from my teaching job because I was in the 'vulnerable' being pregnant. I felt pretty vulnerable. The next day I picked up my first hypnobirthing book and it changed everything. I was fascinated, and overtime decided I wanted to give birth at home where I would feel relaxed, undisturbed, unobserved and safe. I went on to have the most incredible home birth with my little boy in May 2020. It was a pretty magical night and I felt truly empowered and euphoric bringing my first child into the world. Fast forward to November 2022 when I gave birth to my little girl. Due to an issue with midwife shortages in my local area, there was not an option to have a home birth, but I did go on to have another wonderfully positive experience in my local hospital using everything I had learned about hypnobirthing. Again, it was an incredilbly empowering and positive experience. I can honestly say I never once felt fearful of giving birth since learning about hypnobirthing. I knew early on into my second pregnancy that I needed to tell other families about hypnobirthing and the positive impact that it had on me. I promised myself that after having my second baby I would get the ball rolling to qualify as an instructor.

So here I am over year on after having my first baby, keeping that promise and helping families to have positive birthing experiences. Birth will never be perfect and go exactly to plan but you can still be prepared and give yourself the best chance to say... "Do you know what? That was a really positive experience!"

I decided to train with The Little Birth Company and I’m so glad I chose them. I am so excited that I get to empower women and support them to have a positive birth experience whatever their circumstances and birth preferences. I believe that knowledge is power when it comes to labour and birth.

I feel passionately that ALL pregnant women and their birthing partners should learn about hypnobirthing. I encourage you to take that step and invest in you and your baby.

I look forward to supporting you.
